How to Listen to Your Gut Feeling

 

Everyone has that little voice in their head or feeling in their stomach telling them to do or not do something. These could be nothing, but they could also be very subtle signs from your subconscious that you need to stop and think before making your next action.

Journal to Get More Clarity

 

Believe it or not, journaling on a regular basis can help you find clarity into your own natural instincts. Start writing more about your day, in as much detail as you can. Include what was going through your mind before making a choice or completing a task, if you felt anything during a conversation with someone new, or anything unusual that you noticed. Over time, the trends you see might point to when your intuition was actually trying to tell you something.

– a spinal shiver of recognition as something is occurring or told to you
– a sense of knowing something already
– a sense of deja vu

Though intuition can be used to warn you of bad things and dangerous situations, that doesn’t mean that you have turned away from the positives in life. If you are able to see the silver lining and look towards the good in life, even after your intuition has warned you of something bad, you will be more able to connect with your intuitive nature.

Intuition is all about being aware of yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, and the world around you, including the little things. It’s much like a sixth sense, and not one that everyone has. If you have always dismissed these feelings as gut reactions, or paranoia, or perhaps just plain lucky guesses, you may be a powerfully intuitive person without even knowing it. However, if you find yourself checking off a lot of these experiences, you may be able to tap into that inner understanding of yourself and the world around you.
